- Vaccines Required - DOGS: We are advocates of not over vaccinating our dogs but do require proof of a current rabies and a bordetella (kennel cough) booster given EVERY 6 MONTHS. Why every 6 months when your certificate states it is good for a year? Bordetella is spread rapidly through canine-to-canine contact whether your dog is at a kennel, the dog park, the pet store, or even just meeting another dog on your morning walk. Immunity studies have show that the antibodies given by the vaccine only last 6-8 months so if your dog is exposed to other dogs, he should receive a booster every 6 months. If your dog ventures out of the house only to your backyard, an annual vaccine is perfectly fine. As Benjamin Franklin once said..."An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!" PLEASE NOTE: If your dog has never had (or it has been over a year) a Bordetella inoculation you must allow the new vaccine at least 5 days (prior to arrival) for the vaccine to take effect. If is more than 6 months but less than a year we can administer a booster for $30.00 upon arrival. Puppies (under 5 months) are only required to have age appropriate rabies vaccines. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OWNER ADMINISTERED VACCINES.
- Vaccines Required - CATS: All cats prior to boarding are required to have the following vaccines • Rabies • Feline Distemper • Feline Leukemia Kittens (under one year of age) shall only be required to have "age appropriate" vaccinations. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OWNER ADMINISTERED VACCINES.
- SPAY/ NEUTERING DOGS - are not required to be spayed or neutered; Males that mark indoors will be charged a $10 a day fee for daily sanitation clean up. For intact females, please let us know when last in season/heat at check in.
- SPAY/ NEUTERING CATS - All cats over a year old (no longer a kitten) are required to be spayed or neutered prior to arrival. No exceptions. Kittens (under one year of age) are not required to be spayed or neutered.
- Medications for DOGS - There is NO CHARGE for administering daily oral medications or vitamins. If your dog is taking more than one medication/vitamin we ask that you bring those medications in a daily or AM/PM plastic pill dispenser tagged with your dog's name on the dispenser. This is to ensure proper dosage & times, etc. Should you forget this dispenser, you will be asked to fill a loaner dispenser before departure. In addition, please provide a packet of pill pockets to administer your puppy's medications (no peanut butter please). No run "sharing" for dogs recieving medication. We will not attempt to administer pills directly into the mouth.
- Medications for CATS - There is NO CHARGE for administering daily oral medications or vitamins. If your cat is taking more than one medication we ask that you bring those medications in a daily or AM/PM plastic pill dispenser tagged with your cat's name on the dispenser. This is to ensure proper dosage & times, etc. Should you forget this dispenser, you will be asked to fill a loaner dispenser before departure. No "sharing" enclosures for cat's receiving medication.
- Boarding Fee Policy - Payments we accept cash (5% Discount), Checks (no fee), and all major credit cards (3% surcharge). All fees paid at check in;
- NO REFUNDS FOR EARLY RETURNS OR PICKUP
- CANCELLATION POLICY
- Our boarding facility has limited space and is frequently at 100% occupancy. This forces us to turn potential boarders away. When clients pick-up their dogs early, cancel reservations, or change reservations without adequate notice, it is frequently too late for us to fill the space that we reserved for them because the boarders that we turned away have already made other arrangements. This causes us to lose a tremendous amount of income. Due to the loss of revenue as a result of no-shows, untimely cancellations, schedule changes, and early pick-ups, we have implemented the following cancellation policy
- ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE SECURED BY A VALID CREDIT CARD
- We require a 7 day notice for all cancellations in part or in whole. 50% of booking will be charged to the credit card on file for any cancellation less than 7 days; Holiday Reservations require a 2 week notice.
- 2 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY ON ALL RESERVATIONS
- 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY AT THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, 4TH JULY AND SPRING BREAK
